At Classically Homeschool, we’ve chosen to use Saxon Math in our subject and full-year guides. Saxon is a spiral program that focuses on revisiting concepts, and fit the classical model well. If your student is using a different math program and it’s working well for them, don’t change it!

For those using our guides in the co-op setting, it is a rare event that all of your students are on the same level in math. We encourage you to allow students to share a math problem or two in the classroom setting, walk through the problems using Aristotle’s 5 common topics, and enjoy the rest of your time together playing fun math games. Doing so encourages fun with math while also improving speed and accuracy!
